10th International Meeting of PanAfricanist youth and studient organization in Europe
Marcus Garvey 1918
WHERE THIS FORUM COME FROM ?
In 1995 the 2nd national congress of the Spanish chapter of the New Black Panther Party approved an international resolution in favor of afroEuropean poor youth. In 2003, the 1st congress of the Pan-Africanist movement, held at Colegio Mayor Ntr Sra de África Madrid UCM, approved a resolution at the initiative of Professor Hourace Cambpell on the effects of institutional racist violence on the health of young blacks (heart attacks, cancer, depressions, etc.) Abuy Nfubea, Leader of the congress commissioned by the Fundación Vida Grupo Ecológico Verde, prepared a report called "Remora Arcelin" on the causes of this oppression and its solution, which was presented in Paris at the convention of the association of black and African journalists. That same historic document in a hearing with President José María Aznar that served for the Council of the European Union, ECRI regarding the establishment of a general framework for equal treatment, to establish as law in Spain. A year later after the uprising of Afro youths in the ghettos of Paris, harshly repressed by the then minister Sarkossy, who in an electoral interest militarized the black communities unleashing a riots that killed more than 4 young Africans. This was followed by racist attacks on Equatorial Guinean businessmen in Torrejón de Ardoz by the police. Gun in hand against businesses, shops, bars and restaurants such as the legendary Felipe's Restaurant. Abuy Nfubea as a visionary liberator of the black people, in his capacity - then - as Unesco commissioner of the bicentennial of Haiti and the 10th anniversary of the fall of Apartheid in South Africa, he toured several Afro cities and communities in Europe (Peakham London, Saint Denis Paris, Lyon, Marseille, Mataró Barcelona, San Francisco Bilbao, Sontgoleo Palma, Santa Filomena Lisboa, Matongué Brusulas) where he met, talked and especially listened deeply to mothers who had lost their children at the hands of the State that refused to recognize them as visits terrorism and therefore to enjoy no compensation. In most of the times 0% the murderers were not even tried and as happened in 2001 in Barcelona with Desiré killed by 18 shots by the urban guard there was even trial, in fact the guards were promoted and the Catalan press was primed criminalizing Desiré as a criminal drug trafficker and other narrative of white supremacy, paranoid black students, adolescents tortured in police stations, association of black policemen and different young community leaders such as the then leader of the Ka Tribe, Kemi Seba.
YOUTH BLACK POWER
FOJA the youth organization of the panafricanist Movement summoned various young leaders of pan-Africanist organizations and revolutionary students in Europe to participate in an international conference in Madrid, in which the participating organizations shared experiences in their own country and concluded with a joint statement on a specific issue with the sole issue of terrorism and police brutality against black youth. With this declaration, the Pan-Africanist Youth Coalition in Europe for Peace, Justice and Empowerment was established.
"The coalition does not emphasize the responsibility of the European States or the lack of objectivity of the media, beg the love of whites people, integration or Human Rights but on the responsibility of the hip-hop generation itself, youth and students Black military men moving away from the prevailing neoliberal and neocolonial fashion consumerism. We call on Afro-European youth to assume their own responsibility to build, from the thematic unity of the pan-Africanist creed, communal political instruments of liberation and Black Power that avoid not only institutional crime but also their impunity and the impoverishment of the community "
AFRICAN ORGANIZATION YOUTH FRONT
The coalition is a platform made up of youth entities that accept the Pan-Africanist creed, (never individual people). It conferences, convened periodically and promote the participation of black youth in political, social, economic and cultural development in the black communities of the European Union.
PROCESS
The first of them took place in Amadora Lisboa in July 2005, coinciding with the systematic wave of institutional racist violence against black neighborhoods, which the media silenced. It was attended by 4 organizations, including Espaçio Jovem, the TV channel RTP Africa and the ambassador of Angola. The second in 2006 was in Madrid in council of the youth of Spain where the bases, objectives doctrine "Pan-Africanist creed" were consolidated and its document was called the Lavapiés letter. On this occasion, the permanent secretariat of the IV International and the Pan-African Federation assumed this space as their own and agreed to promote it through FOJA. In 2009 the meeting took place in Brussels, the December 2013 edition held at the Ciencielogy church in Madrid with the participation, among others, of the then president of FOJA Lwenkan Ogsayefo, the blogger Desiré Bela or the Hip-Hop artist Mista O as well as delegations from Lisbon, London, Manchester, Paris , Berlin, Rome and Amsterdam. The 2012 edition was at the University of Lleida after the murder of Aliu Djob by the Mosos de Esquedra in a beating (the images mysteriously disappeared from tv3).
2020 EDITION
This year 2020 the meeting returns with the motto:
FLOYD, IS DEAD AND NOW WHAT?
Mobilization or community organization. Topic unity and Black Power
After the enormous mobilizations of Black Live Matter we want to reflect, making an assessment since 90 days of its impact, and especially as Martin Luther king said, where we are going now?
